Bethesda: Avenue to Enjoyment & Good Taste
The Bethesda area offers its residents unfettered access to Washington, DC via Metro or car. Downtown dining, artistic and cultural events, professional sports games, and so much more are within easy reach.
Bethesda itself is a hub of activity and ease, where “staying local” is the opposite of missing out. Restaurants – from the very casual to the formal – specialty food stores, farmers’ markets, exercise studios, outdoor spaces, hiking and biking trails, performing arts venues, movie theaters, and superb shopping options are only some of the myriad perks of life in this vibrant, upscale community.
Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the National Institutes of Health campus are both located in Bethesda, as are many businesses and professional associations. A number of corporations and government agencies are headquartered here. Public and private schools abound, as do country clubs, community centers, and houses of worship. Bethesda even has its very own baseball team! The Bethesda Big Train is a summer team that is part of the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League.
Life in Bethesda is good. Very good.
